Farm4More’s idea create a novel biochar prototype by integrating a new “pyrolysis/combustion and biochar extraction divide” into an existing industrially developed and fabricated wood-pellet boiler.
The Biochar pilot plant will produce a biochar animal feed that will be extensively tested to assess its ability to reduce GHG emissions in animal protein production.
Biochar-Nergy was founded in 2017 to execute the commercialization of a new technology for the production of high quality biochar. Its co-founder Prof. Dr. August Raggam has an outstanding record and expertise in wood combustion processes. In addition to holding a professorship at the Technology University in Graz (TU- Graz), he is the inventor of several wood firing and combustion processes whereby most of his patents have been commercialised (e.g. by the Austrian wood boiler manufacture KWB).
