In this episode Moderator Oliver Zeisberger visited the agricultural research facilities of HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein in Irdning and learned from the researchers there about their efforts to produce protein-rich feed for pig and poultry farming from green fodder, the possibilities for minimizing emissions from livestock through feed additives, and simultaneously keeping animal welfare in mind. They learned how much CO² could be saved through such measures? What was the actual contribution of agriculture to climate change? And what could consumers do to make agriculture more climate-friendly?
